Co-founder Data Scientist for stealth-mode startup WANTED 🛸

Are you a seasoned Data Scientist with full-stack hands-on experience and an entrepreneurial mindset?

There is a unique opportunity to join two like-minded co-founders who work on a data-heavy, HR tech opportunistic project.

We are looking for a co-founder CTO, who will join the team of 2 other co-founders (CEO & CPO) on a full-time basis to pursue the new product development.

UAtalents is a platform that helps Ukrainians displaced due to the war find job opportunities with companies worldwide. We launched on the 7th of March 2022 with Meta, Flixbus, Bolt, and a group of VCs as partners and landed 18K jobs from 8K employers with 1.5M users generating 60K+ job matches. We are a highly mission-driven organization with a strong social impact.

To anticipate the developments in the market we are working on a new product aimed to improve employee retention supported with AI-backed approaches. 

The Opportunity:

  • Jointly finalize the MVP concept;

  • Develop a PoC model based on open-source or available corporate data;

  • Develop integrations to access required corporate data;

  • Participate in gathering client feedback and give input into the structuring of the product;

  • Prepare the MVP with required front/back-end logic required for pilot launch;

  • Maintain and develop the models within the pilot phase;

  • Hire the founding engineers into the team to scale the product upon pilot success.

Your qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Data Science fields with exposure to production-run models;

  • Proven experience with tabular, text, and time-series data;

  • Experience with modern LLMs both corporate (OpenAI) and opensource (Mistral, Llama...)
  • Experience with Graph methods;

  • Ability to develop and maintain Backend components of the application;

  • Managerial experience in Team lead/Engineering Management roles;

  • Ability to work independently in conditions of high uncertainty.

Nice to have:

  • Past exposure to HRtech field or respective data;

  • Previous work record at early-stage startups in founding engineer/co-founder roles;
  • Fluency with scientific research and its reproduction in real-world applications;

  • Experience with corporate data with compliance-driven access requirements;

  • Preferably in Berlin, or the possibility to travel to EU/Berlin to maintain occasional team meetings.
