As a crucial member of the senior management team, you will lead the technical teams and collaborate closely with the CTO. Your role is instrumental in shaping and implementing technical solutions that resonate with our ambitious objectives, utilizing our current stack of Node.js applications and AWS/EKS.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Development:

• Champion the execution of our technology vision, aligning it with the product’s goals and the company’s mission.
• Actively contribute to recruitment, setting standards and procedures to uphold quality.
• Guide technological advancements and efficiency improvements.
• Foster a culture of innovation within the team, ensuring the delivery of quality products.
• Cultivate a team culture valuing experimentation, continuous learning, and adaptability.

Engineering:

• Lead and inspire our technical teams towards excellence and collaborative innovation.
• Oversee the effectiveness of engineering efforts.
• Identify and address developmental process issues.
• Collaborate with the CTO and Team Leads on the architecture of the system and component designs.
• Ensure the quality of the application code and infrastructure, including security.

Project and Product Management:

• Develop detailed plans for technology service development and deployment, ensuring timeliness and quality.
• Collaborate with the CPO and Project Manager in guiding the product roadmap, aligning it with business and technological capabilities.

Operational Excellence:

• Manage system infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
• Establish stringent quality assurance and data protection processes.
• Oversee KPIs and IT budgets, directing technology towards efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in a VP of Engineering or equivalent senior leadership role (Head of Engineering, Engineering Manager), with a demonstrated history of scaling technology teams and products - preferably including management of both development and DevOps personnel.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a developer
• Proficient in SaaS project development, focusing on security, scalability, and reliability.
• Expertise in Node.js, NestJS, SSR/SSG frameworks (Next.js), Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Experience managing remote teams, preferably in a startup environment.

Educational Background:

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees like an MBA/PhD are preferable.
