Berlin, March 7 2022. The Berlin-based Ukrainian entrepreneurs Ivan Kychatyi and Nikita Overchyk have launched UA Talents, a job platform for displaced persons from and within Ukraine. On UA Talents, companies from all over Europe can advertise their job openings to people from Ukraine who have lost their employment due to the war. UA Talents will initially focus on jobs in the technology sector and plans to branch out to other sectors quickly. The initiative has rallied support from important German VCs Atlantic Labs, FoodLabs, Capnamic, Earlybird, HV Capital, Project A and Revent, by scale-ups such as Ada Health, Bolt, Flink, Gorillas, and SumUp as well as by corporates including Meta (Facebook), StepStone, Axel Springer and Zalando.

UA Talents focuses on two groups: people from Ukraine who have fled to another European country and displaced persons within Ukraine. The founders’ objective is that displaced people from and within Ukraine can quickly find employment in their new homes or through remote working arrangements. “Millions of people are fleeing from Ukraine’s war zones. Many have lost their jobs or their customers. Whether they live in other European countries or in safe places in Ukraine, they are united by the will to earn a living to provide for their families or invest back into their country. UA Talents has the ambition to provide job opportunities to as many affected persons as possible” says Ivan Kychatyi.

UA Talents plans to quickly expand its current range of job offerings. To this end, UA Talents’ founders and supporters have reached out to major European and US companies in and beyond the technology sector. Furthermore, the initiative is actively spreading the word about the platform to reach talent from Ukraine.

Employers who sign up to UA Talents receive immediate free access to the initiative’s talent pool. They moreover can contribute monetary support packages to maintain the platform’s operations. UA Talents is not profit-oriented: any proceeds generated from the platform will be donated to Ukraine-related causes.

Interested parties can sign up now on uatalents.com to schedule a call to set up their participation. Applicants from Ukraine can register on the website to be matched with suitable employers.

UA Talents is supported by the 2hearts Community, Europe’s largest tech community for people with migrant backgrounds as well as by UkraineNow with volunteering and MateTranslate with platform support.

MSL as well as lawyers from White & Case and YPOG are advising UA Talents pro bono on public relations as well as legal matters, respectively.
