Job Description:
The Lead HR Reporting Analyst will work as part of the Epiq’s global HR Technology team and be responsible for leading the effort around reporting within Workday. This role will work to understand the reporting and analytics needs of the business, while providing ongoing guidance, direction and mentoring to the HR Reporting Analysts and HR Technology team in order to drive and achieve team and organization goals and objectives. The Lead HR Reporting Analyst will work with the subject matter experts and product owners to gather requirements for Workday reports and will analyze, design, and build new custom reports using standard Workday reporting functionality (ex: Report Writer, Calculated Fields). This position will provide ongoing technical expertise and consultation on new reporting functionality and system upgrades. As part of the global HR Technology functional support team, this position will participate in report reviews, data audits, including understanding and ensuring security and data privacy standards.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver various types of Workday reports to HR and other users including Composite, Matrix, BIRT, People Analytics, Dashboard, and other advanced/complex reports. Advise on how best to deliver the desired output to fulfill the requirement
Build and maintain calculated fields in Workday
Understand the data housed in Workday that supports key HR areas such as compensation, talent, absence, benefits, and payroll
Monitor the integrity of Workday data through regular audits, as well as partnering with the HR Technology team to research, correct discrepancies, and ensure available reports are accurate, current, and useful
Stay abreast of new reporting functionality within Workday and proactively advise when it may be beneficial to Epiq:
Review Workday training to ensure deep knowledge of Workday functionality
Review Workday releases for new and/or deprecated data sources, business objects and fields; implement new functionality and remove deprecated values
Be able to logically troubleshoot issues through available resources, such as posting on Workday Community, connecting with other Workday experts, and attending user groups
Ensure data integrity and privacy at the highest levels.
Provide leadership and guidance to team members to manage day-to-day reporting support, enhancements, and projects
Serve as the reporting expert for system users and support teams, as well as serve as a liaison to technical and consultant staff on the interpretation of report requirements
Work with the HR Technology team to extend and optimize Workday report usage
Requirements
6+ years of experience in Workday Reporting; Specifically experience in creating complex Workday reports (advanced, composite, matrix, BIRT, calculated fields, dashboard configuration) and calculated fields
Ability to document requirements and write technical specifications
Ability to quickly learn concepts and understand processes
Ability to think critically and proactively troubleshoot issues
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, advanced formulas)
Capability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Excellent teamwork interaction and leadership skills
Experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously
Follow effective quality control measures on work product via testing and proxying
Highly self-motivated, organized, and methodical
Proactive in achieving results and seeking improvements
Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
Solid understanding of overall HR functional areas and HR business processes, as well as interdependencies with Payroll, IT and Finance
Strong analytical skills, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
Strong data analysis acumen and focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
