The school Franziskanergymnasium Kreuzburg is an independent private school in Großkrotzenburg (near Hanau) in Germany. It has about 1350 male and female students who are between 11 and 19 years old (year 5 – year 13). Most students end their school career with a high school diploma (Allgemeine Hochschulreife, Abitur). Since summer 2021 all our students have been using computers in the classroom. Every student as well as all the teaching staff are equipped with their own electronic devices and use them regularly in the lessons (e-books, MS-Office Teams, OneNote, Word, Excel, …). Our collegium therefore developed new inhouse curricula in the last three years. We are looking for five to eight teachers with very good German language skills who would like to sup-port us in the subjects mentioned above. A teaching diploma for teaching at a secondary school (high school level) is required. A change to the German education system involves a variety of challenges. Therefore, we offer a support and qualification measure to all teachers who take on this task. We offer contracts under the following conditions - 20 lessons per week: Monthly salary about 3100 € (before taxes) - 16 lessons per week: Monthly salary about 2500 € (before taxes) - 12 lessons per week: Monthly salary about 1900 € (before taxes) In addition to your teaching hours, you will be required to participate in weekly training and guidance ses-sions (3 hours per week in the first year). These guidance sessions will include collegial class visits and ses-sions to plan lessons or draft class tests. Since the state initially only grants a one-year teaching permit when teachers transfer to our school sys-tem, employment contracts must be limited to one year. During this year you can apply for an extension of your stay and an unlimited teaching license. You can start teaching at our school on 15 August 2022 or – depending on the subject you are qualified for – earlier.
