Do you have wide-ranging experience of banking, project financing or financial management gained with an engineering or construction firm, consultancy, multilateral development bank or financial institution? At the heart of our Grant Operations & New Instruments Division, you will assist in the deployment of EU grants and flagship donor-funded initiatives to build capacity across Ukraine. Your remit will span information gathering, programme coordination and supervision of technical activities, with extensive field visits. Initially based in Paris for a number of months, you will transfer to Kyiv, giving you total involvement on the ground and close lines of communication with the Ukrainian government, local authorities, civil society and other key stakeholders. In short, you will act as the bridge between the Bank and the country, giving us invaluable intelligence on the latest economic, political and social challenges so we can target investment to take Ukraine to the next level.

To join us, you should bring:

• • Deep knowledge of Ukraine in a political, social and economic context.
  • A high level of financial literacy, including budgeting processes and detailed statements.
  • Proven experience in project assessment, including technical requirements, relevant legislation, risk management and procurement best practice.
  • Proven ability to identify client needs, propose and implement solutions and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrable flair for managing conflicts of interest and minimising any impact on outcomes.
  • Full fluency in either English or French, with a working knowledge of the other language and good command of Ukrainian, ideally at native level.
  • Experience in blending loans and grants would be useful, but is not essential.
