The KBD Engineering GmbH is an owner-managed, medium-sized family company, based in Cologne / Germany. Our core business is the development of automated special machines just as the realization of manufacturing solutions to meet our customers’ specific needs.We are looking for a mechanical engineer/ designer of special machines (m/f) for the support of our team of engineers (full-time). Tasks: - Autonomous construction of assemblies and complete machines in cooperation with the team leader - Work in consideration of legal norms, guidelines and regulations - Participation in idea finding and concept studies - Development of constructive detailed solutions with corresponding calculations - Preparation of all documents (drawings, parts lists, order lists, pneumatic plans, system diagrams, time function diagrams, program flow charts, FMEA, risk analysis) - Participation in new process engineering developments and realization of those - Reconciliation with subsuppliers - Active participation in project meetings - Technical guidance of coworkers and trainees - Compliance with all guide lines, norms, safety-/ accident prevention regulations and consequent wearing of safety equipment Qualification Profile: - Completed degree in engineering with main focus on construction technology or comparable qualification - Alternatively: Completed vocational education in a technical profession with further training as mechanical technician or similar - Profound knowledge in CAD (Autodesk Inventor) - Safe handling of MS Office programs - Methodical and professional working - Enthusiasm for technically complex tasks - Ability to work in a dynamic environment - Very good communication skills, also in a multidisciplinary team - Solution-oriented working - Collaborative skills, flexibility, creativity (idea finding) and independent working - Very good knowledge of English or German (orally and written) - Readiness to travel If you fit in the job description and if you are interested in an active support of our team, we look forward to receive your complete application.
