Location: Clodra, Thuringia, Germany
Working hours: shift work, including early morning and late shifts, possibly also on weekends and holidays
This is what your daily work routine looks like:
Milking cows:
- - Carrying out the milking process in compliance with hygiene and animal health standards.
- - Operating milking machines, hand milking equipment or other required equipment.
- - Identifying illnesses, injuries or abnormalities in animals during milking and reporting to supervisors.
Animal Care:
- - Ensuring the well-being of animals during milking.
- - Observing cow behavior to identify potential health problems.
- - Assisting in the treatment of sick or injured animals.
Hygiene and cleanliness:
- - Adhering to strict hygiene practices to ensure the quality of our milk.
- - Regular cleaning of milking machines, equipment and barn areas.
Documentation:
- - Keeping records of animals milked, milking times and quantities of milk produced.
- - Reporting to the barn foreman on any discrepancies or special events.
What we need from you:
- - Relation to animals and agriculture.
- - Experience working with farm animals, especially dairy cows, is a plus.
- - Willingness to work shifts and weekends/holidays.
- - Physical fitness and ability to work under pressure for standing and repetitive tasks.
- - Understanding of sanitation and animal health guidelines.
- - Reliability, sense of responsibility and ability to work in a team.
